“𝙈𝙮 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝙖𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙙𝙖𝙮.”

This week, CEO had the opportunity to meet with Lindsey Wulfing, the owner of A Little Taste of Heaven Bakery. She provided students not only with her story and the story of her business, but with all the lessons she’s learned along the way.

• 𝑯𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒑𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒐𝒇𝒇- Lindsey taught students that no matter where you come from, you can succeed. She highlighted the importance of working hard, making sacrifices, and going all in for your dream.

•“𝑾𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒑𝒆𝒔𝒕, 𝒘𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕” - The importance of quality ingredients and customer service was not undermined by Lindsey. She made sure to emphasize to students that the customer’s experience is the most important thing.

• "𝑩𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕"- Lindsey touched on the importance of community, and how being honest and open with your customers benefits your business.

• "𝑲𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉" - Lindsey brought attention to the importance of knowing your team, and treating them right. She also told us to know your own worth, and to not undersell yourself or your company.

• "𝑲𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑾𝑯𝒀" - Lindsey reminded students to never lose sight of why you do what you do. She told us from experience that, over time, your why can change and grow, but the important thing is you always remember your purpose.
