I have always believed in supporting local businesses and helping companies and people grow, which is a big part of what I love about banking. I am on the board of the Edwardsville CEO program because I’m passionate about giving students real-world experiences and the confidence to chase big ideas. It is exciting to be part of something that helps young people discover their potential and see what is possible right here in our community.

Phillip Brunner opened Chick-fil-A Edwardsville in February of 2023 after relocating with his family from the Nashville (TN) area. Phillip is married to his amazing wife Stephanie for over 15 years, and they have 2 daughters. Originally from northern Kentucky, Phillip earned his masters degrees in Business Administration and Arts Administration from the University of Cincinnati, and then he served as a Worship Pastor for 23 years prior to opening CFA Edwardsville. His goal at CFA Edwardsville is for he and his team to Do Good Together one person at a time.

As an investor, a host to the students at my local business, a mentor, and a board member, I’m honored to be involved in the CEO program in almost every way possible. Being so involved has given me a unique perspective of the program, but being a mom of 2 sons who have graduated from the program, I recognize firsthand the impact this program has on our students and our community. I am so very thankful to be a part of this life changing program.

From my first introduction to the CEO program, the value to the students and community was immediately evident. Through the years I have been honored to participate as a guest speaker, investor, and mentor. Watching the personal and professional growth of my two children in the program reiterated exactly why I was impressed from the very beginning. I am honored to serve as a board member and support this vital program that is creating future leaders and entrepreneurs.

My name is Rick Marteeny. I’m a local State Farm Insurance agent in Edwardsville, IL.I live in Glen Carbon with my wife Chery and our dog Oscar. We have two children, Carter (27) who is a commercial real estate broker and CEO program mentor, and my daughter Cami (21) who is a senior psychology major at the University of Missouri.I’ve been involved with the Edwardsville CEO program for the past 6 years as an investor, guest speaker, and board member.I’ve been excited to serve the CEO students and our local community through this unique program. Helping young entrepreneurs develop the confidence to start a small business, learn how to develop real world communication skills, and to create unique marketing strategies is at the heart of why I invest in CEO.In addition to my CEO board involvement, I am also active as a board member for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, active in our local Edwardsville Rotary Club, a member of the Glen Ed Chamber of Commerce, and an active member of Metro Community Church in Edwardsville.I am excited to continue serving the students and facilitators of the Edwardsville CEO program.

I have been part of the CEO program since 2019 serving as a mentor and investor. It is extremely rewarding watching students develop an entrepreneurial mindset, sharpen their leadership skills, and build confidence. Knowing that this program will have such a positive impact on their futures, whether it is as a business owner or leader within their company is something of which I am very proud.

I am a Partner at West & Company, LLC, in its Edwardsville office. We have been an investor in the program since the program’s second year and a guest speaker annually to discuss tax filings and implications for the student’s potential businesses. The students never cease to amaze me with their professionalism, demeanor, and intuitive questions. The program is a true asset to the community, and I am honored to serve on its Board.
