About Me

Melanie Wilson is a senior at Metro East Lutheran High School. At school, she participates in volleyball, tennis, cheer, Student Council, Student Ambassadors, National Honors Society, Knights S.H.I.E.L.D Service Club, Art Club, and Spanish Club. Outside of school, she enjoys going out with friends, spending time with family members, playing pickleball, and listening to music. After high school, she is unsure about what college she will attend, but knows she will study to be a dentist. After Melanie has been a dentist for a few years, she would like to operate her own dental practice. Melanie applied to be a part of the 2024 Edwardsville CEO class to take a step out of her comfort zone, network and build connections. Most importantly, she wants to learn the entrepreneurial and business skills that will help her succeed in starting her own practice. Melanie is beyond grateful and ecstatic to be a part of this AMAZING program!

About My Business

Melanie Wilson is the creator of Mel’s Macarons, a French macaron business.  Melanie has been working hard to create an accessible macaron business in the Edwardsville area. She has come up with three specialty flavors to share with Edwardsville on April 20th, at the Goshen Market! Check out @melsmacaronss on instagram for more information! Melanie will be attending SIUE in the fall while majoring in biology and taking the pre-dental route. She hopes to own her own practice one day, and the skills she is currently developing in Edwardsville CEO will help her excel in that!
