You don't GET lucky. You MAKE your own luck!” 🍀💡

What an incredible morning our Edwardsville CEO students spent with Kurt Mueller, founder of CARSTAR Maryville!

Kurt's entrepreneurial journey began in a small, 420-square-foot, two-car garage in 1978. Nearly five decades later, the business he built—and eventually passed on to his son, Nathan—has grown into a multimillion-dollar operation! 🚗

But Kurt doesn't credit his success to LUCK. He believes **you CREATE your own luck** through your mindset, preparation, and willingness to seize opportunities.

His advice for putting yourself in a position to be "lucky"?

🍀 LOOK FOR OPPORTUNITIES— And be willing to act when they appear.

💡 TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS— Have confidence in yourself and your decisions.

🎯 EXPECT GOOD THINGS— Set goals, believe in yourself, and put in the work to achieve them.

💪 TURN SETBACKS INTO OPPORTUNITIES— Don't let failure define your future.

Kurt also shared powerful lessons about leadership, teamwork, and perseverance, reminding students that You don't have to be bossy to be a boss!

Students wrapped up the visit with a behind-the-scenes tour of the impressive CARSTAR facility, seeing firsthand how specialization, teamwork, and efficient processes help a business grow.

A HUGE thank you to Kurt and the CARSTAR Maryville team for sharing your story, wisdom, and hospitality!
