Thomas Halbrook

About Me

Thomas Halbrook is a senior at Father McGivney Catholic High School. He is involved with many different activities and extracurriculars including Assistant House Captain for Faith Formation, House Leader, National Honor Society (committee head), Announcement Team (co-captain), Green Griffins Recycling (vice-president), FMCHS Drama Department (choreographer and costume director), Math Team, Spanish Club, and Liturgical Choir. He currently serves as the Director of Liturgical Music and the organist at Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City. Outside of school and work, Thomas is very involved in performing arts. He has danced at Rena’s Dance Unlimited in Edwardsville for seven years, earning his Grade V Examination in Cecchetti Ballet, and has been a Senior Company member for the studio dance company, Mouvement Dance Theater. For the past four summers, Thomas has performed with the Muny in St. Louis. He started as a Muny Kid in 2020, and spent the past two summers as a member of the Muny Teens Troupe, a group of talented high school students that demonstrate superior dance and vocal talent, as well as stage presence and discipline. You may have even seen him this past summer in Beauty and the Beast. In the future, Thomas would like to attend college for Marketing and Musical Theater/Dance. He has dreams of one day moving to New York City and performing and choreographing professionally on Broadway.

About My Business

Thomas is the creator and owner of The Sip Grip, a fashionable neoprene sleeve that fits a variety of drive thru cups, from your favorite fast food restaurant to your coffee cafe of choice. They help to keep your cold drinks cold and your hot drinks hot (as compared to drinks without a sleeve), so you’ll never have to deal with cold coffees or watered-down sodas again. They feature fun colors and designs, and a handy strap, to ensure that it won’t slip out of your hands while you sip! Next fall, Thomas will continue his education at Southeast Missouri State University, double majoring in dance and mass communications, with a concentration in public relations. Post-college, he hopes to dance and choreograph on Broadway, and do freelance marketing and journalism on the side. He is grateful for all the lessons and opportunities that CEO has extended to him, and he cannot wait to see where it will take him in the future.
