About Me
Katie Gilbertson is a senior at Father McGivney Catholic High School. She competes on a varsity trap shooting team and created the trap shooting team at her own school. For three years, Katie has been traveling and competing for trap shooting and is a one time Illinois State Champion and a two time National Champion. She is also on a National Junior Team with Metro East Knights. Katie is a member of National Honor Society and is the head for a feeder school tutoring committee. Katie also strives to grow her faith, as well as others’, by being a Father McGivney religious House Leader and Liturgical Leader. Always involved with clubs and committees she participates in Student Ambassadors, Green Griffins, Griffins for Life, Spanish Club, and Science Club. Katie enjoys trap shooting, especially coaching it, in her free time. Outside of her competitive sport she enjoys hunting, fishing, and volunteering in her community. Along with working hard in her sport, Katie enjoys being a swim instructor and lifeguard at her local YMCA to keep herself busy. Katie joined the Edwardsville CEO not only for the business aspect, but to improve on the many aspects of being a professional. Additionally, she would like to gain confidence with public speaking as well as learning and exploring the business world. Post high school, Katie is undecided on what university she would like to attend, but has decided to pursue Early Education.
