About Me

Matthew Gierer is a senior at Father McGivney Catholic High School. He participates in numerous extracurricular activities, including Griffins for Life, Exodus 90, Catholic Athletes for Christ, and the Math Team. His leadership roles include being a captain of the baseball team and soccer team, as well as the treasurer of the National Honor Society. In his free time, he enjoys weightlifting, playing baseball, and spending time with his family.

About My Business

High Gear Fitness and Training, owned by Matthew Gierer, provides general fitness plans, as well as training and workout plans tailored to athletes. The plans created by High Gear FT aim to not only increase the customer's level of fitness, but to educate the customer by providing them with the knowledge on why each plan will help them on their fitness journey. The mission of High Gear FT is to provide individualized, at-home training and workout plans to help its customers reach their goals in the simplest way possible. Next year, Matthew will attend Southern Illinois University Edwardsville to study Exercise Science, with the goal of eventually becoming a physical therapist.
