Today, Edwardsville CEO welcomed Jeff McMillian, Premier Growth Director at Wells Fargo, owner of AudioMac Productions, and certified DISC trainer, for an awesome morning of self-discovery, communication, and relationship building!

Jeff introduced our students to 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖, a behavioral assessment that helps us better understand how we naturally communicate, interact with others, and approach different situations.

Through individual assessments and a fun team-building challenge, our students explored the four DISC behavioral styles:

🔴 D – Dominance: Direct, driven, and results-oriented.
🟡 I – Influence: Enthusiastic, outgoing, and relationship-focused.
🟢 S – Steadiness: Patient, dependable, and consistent.
🔵 C – Compliance: Analytical, detail-oriented, and focused on facts.

The biggest lesson? 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙤𝙧 𝙬𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙮𝙡𝙚! 𝙒𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙮, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙨 𝙪𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨, 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙪𝙧𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨.

Jeff challenged our students to become more aware of their own communication styles, recognize the styles of others, and learn to ADAPT how they communicate to build stronger relationships.

And while Jeff shared plenty of valuable lessons about communication, he also left our aspiring entrepreneurs with a powerful piece of advice from his own entrepreneurial journey:
