CEO had the opportunity to visit with Ryan Freeman, CEO of Paynecrest Electric, and hear not only about the company’s national impact in complex commercial and industrial electrical projects — but also about Ryan’s personal journey to the CEO seat.

Ryan shared how his path wasn’t perfectly linear, but each role, challenge, and responsibility helped shape his leadership style and the culture that drives PayneCrest’s success today. His message to our students was clear and powerful:

🔌 Work ethic and attitude will beat GPA every single day. Start every day prioritizing working hard and having a positive attitude and you WILL be successful.
🔌 You are competing every moment — whether you realize it or not.
🔌 You WILL make mistakes. Own them, learn from them, and you’ll be just fine.
🔌 You will rarely, if ever, be 100% ready for your next opportunity. Stay alert, be bold, and take the chance when it comes.
🔌 Build a trusted network and team — and trust the right people to solve problems with you.
🔌 Schedule your priorities. Don’t prioritize your schedule.
