Integrity – Honesty – Ethics
--
While roughly 90 hours are required to become a licensed real estate agent, becoming a realtor takes far more than one is taught behind a textbook. After attaining a political science degree and going through one year of law school, Karen decided becoming a lawyer was not her path. She went to work as a consultant for an MRI firm in St. Louis and found one of her passions and strong suits…communication.
--
After staying home to raise her children for roughly 10 years, Karen was not sure how to reenter the job market. She began helping a friend write listings and started to dip her toes into the real estate market. Fast forward several years…Karen is now partnered with her close friend (Betsy Butler) with Butler Marcus Group!

While attaining her real estate certification helped prepare her for certain aspects of her career, the only thing that truly prepared her was her real-life experiences. Dealing with buyers and sellers, especially in today’s market, can create very stressful, highly anxious situations. Clients have to have faith that you will take care of them and do what is in their best interest. For Karen, having integrity, honesty and ethics are the core of every action and decision. Karen’s motto?
--
Don’t ever do anything half way. Find something you like doing. Do everything to the best of your ability and with the highest ethical conduct and you will succeed.

Karen, we had a blast touring one of your beautiful listings this morning. Thank you for taking the time to share your story and support our students!
