Class Day: Brainstorming and Business Plans!
--
The first part of executing a class business is to make a decision on what the class business will be! Each of our 20 students brought 3 ideas for a product/event to class and outlined their ideas on a sticky note. As a group, they discussed whether each idea had the potential to align with the 3 class business goals that were established Monday. They narrowed down their list to 10 potential ideas and will continue to narrow down ideas this week.

Once students decide on a business venture, they must write a business plan. Jo Ann Di Maggio May, Director of the Small Business Development Center for the Metro East, joined class via Zoom to share the format of a typical business plan. Students will use this as a baseline to help them plan how they will execute their business endeavor. A big thank you to Jo Ann for sharing her advice and expertise with us this morning!
